First Nations Metis and Inuit Programming

Thirteen people participated in the interactive exercise that teaches Canada's history from an Indigenous point of view. Elk Island Public School's First Nation, Métis and Inuit consultant, Leah Atcheynum, lead the exercise and answered any questions participants had. Thank you to everyone who attended! 

At the end of May, all of the students at Lamont Elementary participated in Metis Jigging lessons put on by Krista Leddy. The kids enjoyed learning about the dances and their history as well as expanding their knowledge of Metis life.
